Udit Narayan was born on 1 December 1955. He is a prolific playback singer. Apart from singing famous chartbuster Bollywood songs, he also sang in languages like Tamil, Kannada, Odia, Telegu, Bengali, Bhojpuri, and Nepali. Narayan rose into prominence with Qayamat Se Qayamat Taks by singing Papa Keheta Hain giving him his first Filmfare Award. He went on to sing some prominent songs like "Mil Gaya", "O Bindiya Tum Humse Keh Do Pyar Hai","Dil Le Gayi Teri Bindiya", "Deewana Dil Deewana", "Hum Saath Saath Hain", “Mitwa”, "Radha", Veer-Zaara, Devdas., Pukar. He dominated the arena of Filmfare in three decades: 80s, 90s and 2000s.
